Anchors of Truth: Doctrines that Divide
Hello, friends ...
When I gave my heart to the Lord and accepted His Word, I soon discovered there were many Christian churches that held vastly different views on key Bible teachings. While I found loving, Christ-like people across a wide range of denominations, I also knew that for a church to be right about a major Bible doctrine meant that, by definition, the others had to be wrong.
Quite frankly, it didn’t matter to me which denomination had it right or wrong. I just wanted to follow Jesus’ teachings. My first loyalty belongs to God and not to a particular organization. Likewise, Amazing Facts will always first be a ministry of the Word.
Sometimes, though, it is hard to be in a church that is often notably different than other “mainstream” churches when it comes to certain beliefs, such as the Sabbath, state of the dead, and hellfire. I don’t always enjoy being different. But I also know that Jesus’ teachings were viewed as unorthodox by the prominent religious leaders of His day. Moreover, I’m compelled by a burning need to be honest with my soul no matter the personal cost.
I think that our search for truth should go beyond denominational labels in favor of what the Bible clearly teaches on matters that will become much more weightier as we near the end of time. Don't you?
This is why Amazing Facts, in partnership with our faithful friends at 3ABN, will be broadcasting a new five-part series called Anchors of Truth: Doctrines that Divide in October. It’s going to be uplinked live from my church in Sacramento, and it is my hope that you will watch it and invite others to join you.
I want to cover five crucial topics that divide Christian churches and how you can be sure you’re on the side of the Bible. These include,
Justice and Mercy  – Salvation, Law & Grace
The Time of Your Life – Sabbath, Sunday & Worship
The Apex of History – Second Coming, Rapture
Cleansing the Temples – Sanctuary, Church, Health
The Afterlife – Death, Hell, Heaven
I want to accomplish two things with this series: Share the truth and give you assurance that you are part of a people who stand on the Word of God. It’s going to be so important for you to help us reach as many people as possible, so please be sure to invite people who have open ears and hearts for the Word.
